2009-2010 HEF Grant Application Process

The Hastings Education Foundation (HEF) is pleased to announce the 2009-2010 academic year grant cycle. The focus this year will encompass all areas of the curriculum, including extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Grants may also cover staff and curriculum development, including support for implementation. Coordination with the administration is essential and must be demonstrated in the grant application. Grants will be announced and awarded in the spring.

The Foundation seeks grants that enhance the excellence of the Hastings Public School system. Grants are evaluated according to the following criteria:

Please note our schedule:
December 5, 2008: Grant applications available in school offices
February 2, 2009: All applications due in Principal's office no later than 3 p.m.
February 9, 2009: All applications forwarded to the Superintendent's office
February 23, 2009: Applications forwarded to Grants Committee
April 2009: Approved grants announced

All funded grants must be evaluated at the completion of the project. Please contact your Principal or the Grants Committee if you have any questions. The HEF mailbox is located in the district central office. You may also contact one of the Grants Committee members directly. We look forward to hearing from you and receiving some wonderful proposals.
